Hello Race Fans!

My name is Amy Thomas, and this is my blog dedicated to my experiences dragracing with my dad, Gerald Thomas.

Here's my Dad aka Gerald Thomas aka Big G

My Dad is a brilliant mechanic who has been blowing people's minds with his skills for.. well.. decades. Before I was born he was a professional racing mechanic.. but then I came along and he got a steady job with no traveling. So, from then on out dragracing was just a hobby... well, not really. It's always been much more than a hobby to him. It's a way of life for my Dad. My Mom even dragraced some throughout the years.

So, it was pretty much written in my fates for me to dragrace, too. So, on my 16th birthday, I took my first trip down the dragstrip in Baytown. Ever since then, I've been in love with dragracing. There's nothing more thrilling. So, the deal I have with my dad is that he does all of the work, and I do all of the driving. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. I got very, very lucky.

Ever since my 16th birthday, we've had several vehicles that I've been so lucky to race including an awesome '98 Z28 camaro and my favorite of all a '99 Chevy single cab white pickup truck... which we sold and with an insanely huge stroke of luck my dad was able to buy back in recent months.

Here's Riley when we owned her the first time

So, now my dad has finish building a brand new motor for the truck.. which I like to call "Riley.".. so when I mention Riley, I'm not talking about a person. In fact, today Riley is in Baton Rouge having her computer programmed to adjust the idling and have a few other tweaks done.

In the future, here you'll be able to find pictures, videos and tons of more information on Riley, as well as my dad and me.

I hope you stick around.. because things are really about to heat up around here!
